Designing Your Happy Place
How Garden Design in Rutland Works
Rutland Garden Design will provide a FREE initial consultation to understand your brief and site conditions such as garden direction, size and current elements, and then provide a mood board and hand-painted watercolour paintings. After this, Rutland Garden Design will get working on your initial 3D and 2D concept designs. Once the design is finalised, Rutland Garden Design will produce the final scope of works, including 2D setting out designs for your landscape contractors, we will also pull together a full list of materials and plant list. At the end, when your garden is complete, we will provide you with your own Garden Bible, in the form of your bespoke, personalised maintenance schedule, to ensure you can enjoy your happy place for many years to come!
3D Concept Design
To help you visualise your garden space in Stamford and Rutland we use 3D modelling tools to give you the opportunity to see your new space come to life. This will include all structures, trees, shrubs, planting schemes and hard landscaping to give you a real feel for your newly designed garden.
Professional 2D MasterPlans
Once you've agreed your concept, we will create a 2D masterplan, for your landscape team to complete the setting out, along with a complete scope of works, with material specifications and all plant lists and planting plans. Your 2D plans have been designed bespoke for your garden with all measurements ready for the contractors to start work immediately. We have a comprehensive list of contractors to carry out the work, and also can supply all plants required using our extensive horticultural knowledge.

Mood Boards
During your initial consultation, Rutland Garden Design will get a feel for your aesthetic, and will produce a Mood Board unique to you and your dreams. This will provide the colour palette, texture and height forming the basis of design for any hard and softscapes throughout the design process. We use Beth Chatto's simplistic 'Right Plant, Right Place' to ensure your garden looks its best when completed. Our plant recommendations are based on the specific requirements for your garden, to ensure the best possible show in your garden year after year.
